The First Seder is on Shabbos this year.
This presents some interesting difficulties in planning the Seder meal and questions regarding various customs.
Regarding the meal:
Keep in mind that all food must be ready, in the oven, on the stove BEFORE Pesach even begins. No fiddling with oven or stovetop dials during Maggid. Your food will either be cold, burnt, or PERFECT!
No grating horseradish (if that’s what you do).
No moving the candles at all, so best to keep them off the table, if that’s where they usually are.
Don’t forget Shalosh Seudos on Shabbos afternoon!
Then there are all those Friday night minhagim.
Do you bless your children before the seder?
Do you say Shalom Aleichem or Eishes Chayil?
